Welcome to the website of the Doctoral School of Management and Business at the University of Debrecen.
It is an honour for me to welcome you as the Head of the Doctoral School. For me, our Doctoral School is not merely a training programme or an organisational unit, but a professional community whose development I have had the privilege of following for more than twenty years as a doctoral student, lecturer, supervisor and academic organiser.
The aim of our Doctoral School is to support the development of future researchers and educators as an inspiring research workshop. Building on the traditions of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Debrecen, we offer a multidisciplinary environment in which our students can seek scientifically grounded answers to economic and social challenges. Our broad research portfolio, recognised supervisors and international partnerships provide a solid foundation for high-quality academic work.
I consider talent development and the promotion of the research career path to be particularly important. I am convinced that research, education and knowledge transfer constitute a value-creating vocation that offers both professional excellence and personal fulfilment. Our goal is to provide our students with a supportive scientific environment that is also competitive at the international level.
Our community welcomes doctoral students from many countries around the world, who actively contribute to the scientific and cultural diversity of the Doctoral School. We believe that cooperation, openness and curiosity towards new ideas form the basis of scientific progress.
