Due to bloc formation, it will be more difficult to ensure global public goods in the future, which may negatively affect the functioning of the world economy: instability increases in financial markets, FDI flows between countries decrease, and technological cooperation weakens. In addition, the fragmentation of commodity markets may negatively affect inflation and economic growth in both blocs. There are no long-term winners of bloc formation—only the question of who loses more.

We will seek answers to this question at our event.

Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Péter Balogh
Professor

Dear Colleagues!

Károly Ihrig Doctoral School of Management and Business, University of Debrecen on Thursday, January 27, 2022, it will organize an online professional presentation by Prof. Dr. József Tóth, he is a professor of the Corvinus University of Budapest.

2022. january 27. (Thursday) 13.00-16:00

Title of the presentation: Behaviour based innovation research with STATA SEM

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is getting more and more popular among researchers and practitioners as well. The method is especially handy when it is about testing causal relationship among variables, or we’d like to analyse the relationship among latent variables.

Participation on the program assumes that you bring your laptop/notebook with you for the training, and you are equipped with STATA, later than version 14 (the current one is 17).

Agenda:

  • Short introduction
  • Jargon of SEM
  • Assumptions
  • STATA SEM Builder
  • SEM model of Janus-face innovation in practice
  • SEM model of behavioural innovation in practice

The course approach is very practical, and the main goal is to boost some appetite for using this valuable modelling tool.
